Yahoo! There's nothing like hearing your nearly non-verbal child string together two words to reach an objective. Tonight Elise and I were snuggling on my bed. After a couple of minutes, she decided she wanted to jump. I was still laying on the bed. She made some vocalizations and then, very clearly said "Mama, Up!". Once I was up, she started laughing and jumping. Awesome! Now if only she'll learn to include me in her play, but I'll take what I can get for now.
Today we selected a gastroenterologist for Elise and scheduled an appointment for her in early October. We also contacted a dietician to help us implement a new diet for Elise.
Not much else new to report. Elise is doing well with the antibiotic. I knew my paranoia was irrational, but it's just so easy to want to blame something, even if it makes no sense. Hopefully she'll feel well enough to sleep the whole night.
