Making Some Headway

Today I actually am taking a lunch and have accomplished a couple of things for Elise. We selected courses and notified our service coordinator about the parent training courses hubby and I have selected. We need to take these courses before they will move forward with funding ABA therapy for Elise. I found out that our service coordinator gets funding on the 16th and 1st of each month. She may have managed to drag her feet long enough to not have us ready for the class on the 16th. This of course means we have to wait until October before getting anything done.

I also looked into a local lawyer to help us navigate what Elise needs and ensure that she gets everything she needs from the school district. We haven't contacted her, but it's at least something to look into for now.

We're seriously toying with the idea of buying a townhome. It will be a lot cheaper than the rent we pay for the house. We've been surprised how cheap some of the townhomes in great areas with great schools actually are.

Elise went to school today. When hubby dropped her off, she had gone to the swing in the playground and was laying across it twisting herself around and smiling. These are things she does to help regulate herself so it's great that she's learning to do what she needs to function at her best.
