Labor Day

Elise spent the day at the beach & later playing in a fountain at a park. An ideal day for her. We've been trying to focus on her talents instead of the obvious delays. She really seems to have an innate ability to swim and understand the pattern of the waves. Her face is an expression of complete joy when she plays on the beach.

We've also noticed another recent "talent". Elise is rapidly becoming a champion nose picker. With all the focus on developing her abilities, I have to admit that my first thought upon seeing her with her finger in her nose was "Wow, look at that fine motor ability. She's really coming along." Since it's gross, dirty and socially unacceptable, I guess I'll have to teach her to not continue to refine this ability.
