Nothing to report today. Elise is still sick with a cough and runny nose. She fortunately was able to sleep well last night in spite of her cold. She really didn't want me to leave for work today. Everytime I left the room this morning, she would go running to the front door screaming and throw a fit. It would end as soon as she'd see I was still home and I would pick her up. I don't know how she handled it when I finally did leave, but I'm sure Emy took care of her well. She stayed home from school with Emy today because of her cold.
No progress on procuring therapy for her. I haven't received a response to my e-mail to her service coordinator yet. Work slows a bit for both Carlos and I tomorrow, so we're hoping to be able to move things along in terms of sorting out insurance coverage and calling ABA providers about their parent training classes. It should be fun...
Goals for tomorrow & Friday:
1) Start dialogue with current insurance provider about coverage for UCLA program.
2) Research alternate insurance plans through our work.
3) Research recommended pediatric neurologists and schedule appointment for Elise (have referral from psychiatrist).
4) Call approved ABA parent training providers and determine what schedule works for us.
5) Notify service coordinator of selected ABA parent training provider.
